We’re excited to announce that two powerful new features are now live in Brixx, giving you greater flexibility and precision in how your plans grow over time.
What’s new?
Rental Income Component: Built for Property Forecasting
Model rental income faster and more accurately with our new Rental Income component.
It includes intuitive inputs like:
- Rental rate
- Number of rental units
- Voids and bad debts
Whether you’re planning for a single unit or an entire property portfolio, this new feature makes forecasting income from rented assets simple and reliable.
Introducing Global and Local Drivers: Replacing the Old Inflation Rate
We’re retiring the old Inflation Rate setting and replacing it with something much more powerful and flexible.
What are Drivers?
Drivers are a new way to apply percentage-based increases or decreases to your forecasts:
- Global Drivers apply across multiple components at once – ideal for updating an entire category like Expenses or Income in one go.
- Local Drivers apply to individual components – perfect for fine-tuned control over specific items like salaries, rent, or sales.
This means you’re no longer locked into a single inflation percentage. Apply different rates to different items, or exclude them entirely. The choice is yours!
Drivers can even help you build entire future forecasts based on prior year data, making your planning smarter and more responsive to real-world changes.
Will this affect your existing plans?
If you were using the old Inflation Rate found within your ‘Finance Settings‘, the values will no longer apply from today.
We recommend:
- Checking what your previous inflation percentage was
- Reapplying it using either a Global or Local Driver
It’s a quick update – and we’ve made it simple to transition.
